Adventure Club is open to all middle and high school students who enjoy the outdoors.
The goal of the club is to provide students the opportunity to explore science and environmental topics, build friendships, develop social skills, self-reliance and confidence. Club members do a service project each year in the nature preserve that benefits our community.
There is always one meeting per month but sometimes two. Participants spend most of their time outside exploring our school nature preserve, listening to guest speakers or working on a project. Activities in the past have included geocaching, animal tracking, team building activities, archery and atlatl throwing, hiking and guest speakers on topics such as Ohio wildlife, taxidermy and turtles. Parents are welcome to participate in all activities and often do.
